Utilities & Infrastructure Reform

I have worked with small, independent internet providers all the way up to the tier 1 carrier’s where companies like MetroNet and Brightspeed get their internet connectivity from. Now, we need to get our constituents high-speed internet and protection from public utility companies!

No one likes slow internet, or surging electric bills. As your congressman, I will work tirelessly to protect my constituents from all of the above!

Internet

Whether it be wireless internet from an independently-operated ISP, or fiber internet from one of the major providers, I will work with them to get our area connected. It is 2025, and no one should suffer from unbearably slow internet in today’s age. Having worked with these companies previously, I feel like I am the strongest candidate who has the most telecom experience to deal with the FCC red-tape.

Utility Bills

Many constituents are on a fixed-income monthly. It’s not fair to them when budgeting, that we have a sweltering summer requiring air conditioning all-day, everyday. And then when their bill comes in, they have nothing left for the last few weeks of the month. I will push to have strict regulation on our power companies like Duke so they can’t fluctuate their pricing during summer or winter months. I will cap their rate hikes and ensure no one is shutoff prior to a 6-month notice. We need to work together to push back on these monopolies and  protect our constituents and neighbors.
